Help Us Make A Brighter Future For Animals

As our family approaches the end of one year and the beginning of the next we always take stock of where we’ve been and where we’re headed and that of course includes caring for our fur angels.  This past year has been a hard one for the animal kingdom and the natural world we share with them.  A year full of triumphs and tragedies, hopes fulfilled and dreams shattered.

For animals and those who care about them it seems that we are locked in a never ending war against animal abuse and environmental outlaws.  That’s because we are.

Weary from fighting day in and day out against those who want to harm animals I once asked a lifelong friend: “When does it end?” to which he simply replied: “It doesn’t.”

Here’s one thing I know for certain, we are humbled by the trust and confidence you have placed in us and proud to stand with you shoulder to shoulder helping to shield animals from cruelty and working to heal a wounded earth.

With your help, thousands of animals of every size, shape and colour are safer because of caring people like you.

In 2013, we will redouble our efforts to find creative engaging solutions to old problems and meet new challenges head on.  The true measure of a person is not where we are in moments of comfort and convenience but where we find our courage and determination in moments of conflict and controversy.  And we have to ask ourselves each one of us where we really stand.

The situation facing us is serious, the problems intimidating, the challenges immense.  In challenging a world whose attitudes and conditions often defy human hope, with your help we are making a difference for animals and nature.

Please give whatever you can and a benefactor has agreed to match your donation to help us reach our goal of $ 1 million for animals.

We promise to use every one of hard earned dollars carefully and wisely. And when it comes to fighting cruelty, we don’t give up.  Ever.

From our family to yours, best wishes for a Wonderful New Year,

We carry out hands on programs to help animals and nature, mount rescue operations, expose cruelty through hard hitting undercover investigations, work to pass laws to protect animals, use a multidisciplinary approach, support animal shelters and wildlife rehabilitation centres, and spread the word about how to help animals and nature through humane education.

The only organization of its kind, seven days a week, The Humane Society of Canada (HSC) works across the street, across Canada and around the world helping people, animals and the environment.

The Humane Society of Canada (HSC) depends entirely on donations to support our programs to help animals and the environment. All donations are gratefully acknowledged with a receipt for income tax purposes.
